Made to Jeffries’ stringent specifications in modern foundry conditions, with laboratory controlled metallurgy, using lost wax precision casting. This ensures precise temperature-controlled conditions essential for accuracy of components. Each Bit, Spur Stirrup is hand-assembled by craftsmen, with attention to detail, and finished to a high polish, maintaining traditional Eldonian quality standards.

The Centre Revolver bits are a Revolutionary design by Jeffries. New to the Market 2006.

My belief of this bit is that it is one of the best designs so far, the lozenge is one of my favorite mouthpieces and now it comes with independent side action…. This is going to provide riders with something they have not seen or used before, they will sit lovely in the horses’ mouth and are suitable for most breeds, if you have never tried a lozenge mouthpiece before, are currently using a French link or you have a lozenged mouthpiece, I suggest you give one of these a go…. This is going to be a big seller!!!!

The Baucher

The Hanging Cheek is also known as the Baucher, it uses pressure on the poll as the cheek piece has an extra ring above the snaffle ring where the bridle cheek pieces are attached to, this poll pressure encourages the horse to lower the head and come on to the bit especially useful for horses that have a high head carriage. This cheek has proven one of the most popular cheeks with various mouthpieces. It is a fixed cheek bit, which may be useful for horses that are unsure of the bit, as it doesn’t move around too much in the mouth. It may prove a suitable alternative to a snaffle if you could do with a little help to bring the head down.

Stainless Steel Revolver Lozenge

The Lozenged Mouthpiece bits have proven the of the most popular of bits. The mouthpiece is the ‘New French Link’, it has a oval shaped link in the centre. The lozenge shaped link contours the tongue and forms a true contact. It has no protruding pressure points like the French link does (where the flat link joins the mouthpiece); it has 2 joints, which means the pressure of the bit is distributed over both the tongue and bars of the mouth. Because the mouthpiece has two joints, it shouldn’t cause any interference with the roof of the mouth. The Lozenge uses tongue pressure to encourage the horse to go on the bit and lower the head, it has bar and lip pressure but not a ’squeezing’ action like that of a bit with a single joint. The more joints a bit has the less likely the horse is to lean as the bit becomes more mobile.
Because of the split centre Lozenge which revolves, this gives a independent rein action, allowing one half of the bit to be used whilst the other half stays put, not causing the whole bit to lift in the mouth. – A superb design by Jeffries.....
